I dyed my hair dark red

I have been wanting to dye my hair for the longest now... I met this great girl at the gym that said she could dye my hair for me. So I went to her salon it was a great experience. i have been to the salon in 5 or 6 years. So I was a little scared. The dye job came out to the exact color I wanted. It been 4 days now and I kind-ah want to go light maybe 1or two shades lighter. I will share better picture of the dye next week. This is what I could do for now. I just want explain what I got done. I got a ombre dye.... which means It fades from dark to light. She put dark red on the ends oh my hair and then half way up she put an even darker maroon color . Then she blend the dark maroon color into my roots. It looks amazing as a braid-out. The only thing I regret is not going lighter. Do you have any suggestions on a color that is not to fire red but more red then the current color I have now..?

I don't know about you but detangling has been a major battle. One thing people tend to forget is that I am in this hair journey just like they are. For these past 2 years, I have been struggling with detangling.  I have tried countless methods but never one that suited my thick and fragile hair.Well, not until last week. Last week, when I washed and detangled my hair I tried something different. I wasn't sure about it because I did it on flatiron hair which is always easy to detangle.  The real test to see whether the method works for my hair was yesterday.
I will tell you what I have changed. I have tried to detangle my hair in the shower with running water and conditioner before but last week I put a little more conditioner than I usually do. I used a different conditioner with a little bit more slip. The tool that I used before to detangle my hair was a wide tooth comb. I thought it did a good job but for me it always felt like it left tangles behind and I would have to contend with them during the styling processes...That ain't cool. So I switched to a ouch-less goodies  paddle brush. I let a little water run through my hair as I detangle and I had such an easy time with my tangles. HOLLA....! I tested that method on the worst hair possible. I dyed my hair a dark red color at the salon. I let it air dry into a big matted afro after the stylist washed and conditioned. That same night I went back in the shower and detangled and the pics below is all that came out that's it and when it was dyed there was no detangling just colored and washed plus the last time I did detangled was three days ago

Product Review

Organix Rejuvenate Hair Conditioner Cherry Blossom Ginseng
Review:
I just can’t seem to get enough of this product. So I’m finally going to give my single review about it. The first thing that turned me on to this product is the smell. I hate putting product in my hair that smell weird or to much like nature. It smell sweet and very light the scent is lingering. The second benefit is I can leave this in my hair. I use this product as a Wash-N-Go and as a leave-in and my hair loves it. The 2 thing which I don’t like about this product is I think it doesn’t need the several preservatives. Add it has more protein then I would like in a conditioner. My score of this product is a 4.0 out of 5.

Organic Root Stimulator
Jojoba Oil

Product Features:

  • The maximum shine hair and scalp moisturizer most closely mimics the scalp's natural sebum oil, meaning that it works effectively.
  • When Jojoba oil is applied to the scalp and hair it attracts and holds moisture and shine.
  • Jojoba Oil will lubricate the hair shaft so that the hair is conditioned without a greasy feel.
 Review:

This stuff right here make my hair shine like the sun... and this product is really moisturizing. Whether I put it on wet hair or dry hair. I feel like my hair is soft. The scent is not of my liking but to each is own... The scent is that typical black hair product scent from the 90's. The 2 things I don't like about this product Is the fact that Cyclomethicone comes before Jojoba oil..which is the reason why I think this product provides so much shine. The second reason for not really liking this product is Petrolatum. Now don't get me wrong I don't have and issue with Petrolatum or Petroleum jelly. I feel like this company is try to hide the fact that this product has a lot Petroleum jelly or petroleum by product by calling it different names the normal consumer would not recognize, like Paraffin and Petrolatum. Beside that I would give this product a 3.5 out of 5.

Petrolatum
Function/use(s): Hair Conditioning Agent; Skin-Conditioning Agent - Occlusive; Skin Protectant; EMOLLIENT; MOISTURISING; UV ABSORBER
About PETROLATUM: Petrolatum is a semisolid mixture of hydrocarbons obtained from petroleum.
Synonym(s): MINERAL JELLY; PETROLATUM AMBER; PETROLATUM WHITE; PETROLEUM JELLY; YELLOW PETROLATUM; MINERAL GREASE (PETROLATUM)

Paraffin
Liquid paraffin, or mineral oil, is a mixture of heavier alkanes, and has a number of names, including nujol, adepsine oil, alboline, glymol, medicinal paraffin, or saxol. Paraffin wax (or simply "paraffin", but see alternative name for kerosene, above) is mostly found as a white, odorless, tasteless, waxy solid, with a typical melting point between about 47 °C and 64 °C ( 117°F to 147°F), and having a density of around 0.9 g/cm3.[3] It is insoluble in water, but soluble in etherbenzene, and certain esters. Paraffin is unaffected by most common chemical reagents, but burns readily.

Ingredient:

Petrolatum, Soybean Oil (Glycine Soja), Cyclomethicone, Lanolin, Paraffin, Coconut Oil (Cocos Nucifera), Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia Chinensis), Castor Oil (Ricinus Communis), Isopropyl Myristate, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Benzocaine, Fragrance (Parfum), Citral, Citronellol, Coumarin, D'Limonene, Linalool, BHT.,

Long distance relationships

This is kind-ah a long post but I felt it was important to share with people who could be going through the same thing.
so here it goes. I have been in a long distant relationship for 3 year. I'm getting married this June. So i'm so super excited to finally be reunited. I haven't seen him in person since Christmas. We have had our highs and lows with the distance but let me tell you it is Possible. Don't let people discourage you. The distance will strength the relationship as long as you both put in equal effort. I will give you a few tips that helped us. Trust, patience, schedualing and a lot of prayer is what helped us get through the three years.
Schedual
Ok, I know this might seem strange but if you both know each other's scheduled. It will make it easier to know what the other is doing. Knowing the right time to call and talk to one another is always best so you don't annoy the other. Another thing is to inform the other how the next day will go. That way there will be no surprises or worries, if he or she doesn't call at 3am or 9 pm to talk... Especially if he is living in a different time zone than you. Scheduling talk time Should be number one priority....
Communication
So even though we talked all the time, before the distance. Our communications skills really sucked and we didn't even notice. The long distance opened our eyes to some major holes in the way one another was understanding and comprehending the message.
Here I a good example
I was saying.... I love you babe.... and he was saying..... Babe If there is anything you need just call me..... I started wondering Why the hell is the boy saying crap like that, instead of just say..... I love you back. I began to feel like maybe he didn't love me as much as I loved him. Well, that is just his way of communicating that he loved me and that he wanted to provide for me. We both meant the same thing but said it in different ways.
So, remember that men don't comprehend feeling and express themselves the same way we do. So whenever there is an argument or a misunderstanding be patient with one another and trust that they mean the best. Always be open minded to one another belifes and know that you might not always agree but you should always agree that you disagree on a topic. Basically agree to disagree....

We were not able to visit each other often, do to lack of funds on both ends. Goggle talk, Skype, and other online video chat websites makes the distance much more easier to bare. My fiance and I live on Skype. Skype give you the option to share screens so you can shop online, watch a movies or a favorite show online and even workout together. The sky is the limit. So use the these websites to do things together. Do things online together helps you spend good quality time. lack of activity with one another could put strain on the relationship. Could not saying would....

Hope your still with me here...LOL. I'm almost done blabbing.

Trust & Patience
It was hard for me to trust that he was not going to find another hot chick and fall in love with her. I was thousands of miles away but he constantly assured me that I was the only one for him. It comforted my insecurities. My past experiences made me feel as though I could not trust him but I discussed it with him openly, giving him my whole heart. He was patient with me and understanding. this might not be your situation but trusting can make or break a long distance relationship.

God as the Center
Lastly I wanted to say prayer. I don't know If you know and love the lord but my finance and I study the bible together and pray together. Their is nothing wrong with praying about the relationship and ask God to guide the both of you. We made sure that God was the center, the glue that kept us together. So as we got to know God more we also got to know each other.
Well I'm done now. i hope this helped and may God continue to bless your relationship...
